and
The Newfoundland Regiment, B.E.F.(now The Royal Newfoundland Regiment).

Imperial Frontiersmen Canada

The Corps of Imperial Frontiersmen was founded in 1940 during a split within the Legion of Frontiersmen,

with units extending from Ontario to Nova Scotia.
In 1997 due to diminishing membership of two independent units, the Halifax Troop, C.I.F.,
and the Dartmouth Troop, C.I.F., amalgamated to form and raise the new 1st Halifax/Dartmouth Troop, Corps of Imperial Frontiersmen.

The unit mainly focused on clean up of public paths and wilderness events in its early years.

2012 saw 1st Halifax/Dartmouth Troop move to Scottish Command, 1st Highland L.F.V. under the name of the Canadian Corps of Frontiersmen(Imperial), the name was simplified to Imperial Frontiersmen Canada in 2016.

Members have equated Imperial Frontiersmen Canada as a Scout Movement for the adult demographic and today the unit's community activities are limited to the clean up of public paths, food drives, bottle drives and assisting other community organizations in need of volunteers.
